CM1000 Non Contact Normalized differential vegetation index meter - Model: 2953

Product Description:

Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI) Plant adversity, whether or not watering, nutrients, heat, etc., is difficult to measure, especially in early growth stages. An indicator of plant adversity is light absorption and reflection. Since chlorophyll absorbs the red band of incident light, the light is strongly absorbed by plant pigments, so the reflected light is relatively low. The cellular structure of plant leaves, especially the spongy mesophyll tissue, causes high reflection of the near-infrared light band. When plants are under stress, the red light band reflectance increases due to a decrease in chlorophyll absorption. The reflection of the near-infrared light band is reduced due to damage to the cell structure.

NDVI uses red/near-infrared light reflectance as a calculation factor and is measured on a scale from -1 to 1, with higher values indicating healthier plants. Use NDVI measurements to schedule nitrogen fertilizer applications. A variety of application areas such as facility gardening, golf course, landscape, plant research school units and so on.
